Architecture and glass - Glaverbel - Vostok 2005

1. The competition status and the organizers
1.1. The competition "Architecture and glass - Glaverbel - Vostok 2005" - is an open competition and review of works of professional architects, designers and students of architectural high schools of Russia and the CIS countries.
1.2. The founder and the organizers of the competition
The founder of the competition is the company Glaverbel - Vostok. The organizers of the competition are:
1) The Company Glaverbel - Vostok
2) The international guild of landscape architects
3) The center of the city color of the State Unitary Enterprise Mosproject 3
4) The architectural portal "Forma" www.forma.spb.ru
5) IAUA (the International Association of Unions of Architects)
6) Moscow architectural institute

2. The purposes and tasks of the competition.
2.1. The purpose of the competition - is to find and reveal progressive volumetric-spatial and color solutions in the area of the colored architectural glass in the city environment. The competition is called to stimulate the development of domestic architecture and environmental design in view of aesthetic, technological and social aspects.
2.2. The tasks of the competition:

• To stimulate professional architectural community, including - the students of architectural high schools, in order to have creative sense of architectural potential of a glass as a material, which should play the major role in the Russian architecture of XXI century
• To promote strengthening and development of multilateral connections between architectural community, architectural educational institutions, state organizations and manufacturers.
• To propagandize widely the most progressive architectural and technological solutions with use of an architectural glass and to inform professionals and students of architectural high schools on modern lines and features of use of an architectural glass, including colored one
• To reveal innovative ideas and methods in the field of architectural designing of buildings and small architectural forms with use of an architectural glass.

4. The conditions of the competition:
4.1. Those, who can take part in the competition - professional architects, designers and students of architectural high schools, individually, or as a part of author's groups and workshops or as their heads;
4.2. The works, represented for participation in the Competition should meet the requirements of the declared nominations (see item 3);
4.3. The objects, participating in the competition, should be at the territory of the Russian Federation and the CIS countries.
4.4. The organizing committee accepts no more than 3 works by one participant or one creative group;
4.5. The works, given for participation in the Competition will not be criticized;
4.6. The organizing committee reserves the right to use the results of the Competition with the educational, scientific or advertising purposes;
4.7. The responsibility for use of works, which copyrights do not belong to the participants of the competition, should be incurred by the participants, who declared these works for participation in the competition;
4.8. The submission of works to the Competition means the consent with conditions of the Regulations of the competition "Architecture and glass - Glaverbel Vostok 2005" and its Appendices;
4.9. The bonus fund of the Competition "Architecture and glass - Glaverbel Vostok 2005" makes 270000 (two hundred seventy thousands rubles) 00 kopecks.

5. The jury of the competition:
5.1. The structure of the jury includes practicing architects and teachers of architectural high schools, representatives of founders and organizers of the competition. The organizer carrying out reception of the works and having the information on participants of the competition has no vote.
5.2. The structure of jury will be determined by the organizing committee of the competition;
5.3. The works are given for jury consideration anonymously;
5.4. The session of jury is closed;

6. The order of reception of works and requirements for works of participants of the competition
6.1. All works should be given by participants of the competition in digital or in printed format by mail or with the help of Internet-communications. In case of A nomination alongside with digital format it is necessary to represent the printed one.
6.2. The requirements for the volume and format of works for the competition - see Appendix № 2

7. Legal grounds
The rights for the ideas belong to their authors. The rights for the publication of the works and their exhibition pass to organizers. Thus, an author of an idea can publish his works independently, but with an obligatory mentioning of the organizers of the competition. The works participating in the competition can be submitted for participation in other competitions not earlier than in 3 months after the end of this competition and with an obligatory mention of organizers of the competition. Each participant of the competition, going through the registration procedure, incurs the obligation to observe the current copyright legislation. The disputes between participants can be solved juridically. The winners should carry out all tax obligations independently according to the tax laws of the Russian Federation and the country of residing of a winner.
